Phil King writes: "Here’s one I took on Sunday 28/12/2008 looking north towards the Long Mynd after an aerotow from Shobdon and a climb to 12,000’ feet in the lee of the Black Mountains. The Midland Gliding Club is just to the right of the red yaw string. The wind on top of the Mynd was about 30 knots easterly . The clouds on the left of the yaw string marked good wave lift to 8000’ from the lee of the Long Mynd.
